At The Bone Store, along with gathering measurements to get the right fit, we are also looking at each customers' individual situation, their needs, aids they might make use of, and brands and styles that will look and feel good. We're trained in fitting by multiple compression manufactures and are measuring customers for compression daily. We see a lot of legs and that helps us notice things that can improve your experience with compression.

Compression Gripping Glove. Make putting on compression a much easier task. Move and adjust compression positioning with easy. Using Compression gloves also protects your compression so it last longer.

Compression Butler. The compression butlers come in different sizes and we carry variations across different brands. Despite their differences in design, their functions are the same--hold open your compression to make it easier to get into. We have sample compression to show you how this device works.

Compression Butler Off. Use the Butler Off to assist in removing compression by extending your reach, leverage, and providing a smoother surface between the compression and your leg to glide over.

It Stays - Body Adhesive When thigh high compression won't stay in place, dab a little It Stays on and keep that compression secure.

I usually shop Men's Big and Tall. Is there standard compression that will fit me properly? If you're shopping compression for a big guy, we have options to show. One we can suggest is Medi Mens. Not only does it come with a Tall option, but also an option for a wider calf. If there is a need for more width, more height, or both, we've got your compression needs covered. |
|
What other options are available for extra wide legs? Legs are all shaped differently. We do have trained specialist that can measure you for custom made compression. However, we carry a variety of full calf (also known as extra wide calf) options across multiple brands. Come see us, let us measure you for compression, and we can show you the different options. |

Is compression tight? How "tight" compression feels will vary from person to person and even from leg to leg. Compression is designed to compress, or squeeze, the leg. Some worry this stops circulation. However, graduated compression, when fitted by a trained specialist, compresses in a way that actually improves the circulation of blood and fluid through the body. Here's a quick video to see how this works. |

What does mmHg mean? What is 15-20mmHg? What is 20-30mmHg? Compression comes in different strengths. mmHg is the measurement for that pressure. mmHg stands for millimetre of mercury, which is a manometric unit of pressure. We don't diagnose customers and leave prescribing compression levels to the doctors. Much of what we stock is 15-20mmHg, 20-30mmHg, and 30-40mmHg. We can also special order other levels of compression as well. 15-20mmHg compression is considered more therapeutic level. Higher levels of compression are considered more medical level and should be worn under recommendation of your doctor. |
