Support and Compression for Lower Back Pain
The Actimove® Lumbar Sacral Support is designed to help reduce lower back pain through targeted support and compression of the lumbar region. The wraparound construction provides additional stability while allowing the level of compression to be adjusted for individual comfort.
Contoured Support with Asymmetrical Wings
Asymmetrical wings help the support follow the natural contours of the lower back and waist. This anatomical design creates a secure fit while keeping the brace streamlined and comfortable for regular daily use.
Made for Everyday Routines
The Lumbar Sacral Support is designed with daily wear in mind. Soft, breathable materials improve comfort, while the low-profile construction allows the brace to be worn discreetly beneath most clothing at home, work, or during normal daily activities.
Support for Lower Back Pain and Lumbar Instability
The Actimove® Lumbar Sacral Support is designed to provide targeted compression and stabilization around the lower back. Its wraparound construction supports the lumbar region while allowing the amount of compression to be adjusted for individual comfort and support needs.
Support for Acute and Chronic Back Pain
Actimove lists the Lumbar Sacral Support for both acute and chronic lower back pain. The supportive compression can help stabilize the lower back during everyday movement while providing additional support to painful or irritated lumbar structures.
Support for Degenerative Lumbar Changes
The support may also be used for degenerative changes affecting the lumbar region, including osteoporosis, osteochondrosis, spondylosis, spondylarthrosis, and facet syndrome. When a back brace is being used as part of treatment for an underlying spinal condition, follow the recommendations of your physician or other healthcare professional.
Support for Lumbar Muscle and Ligament Instability
Weakness, sprains, strains, or insufficiency of the muscles and ligaments surrounding the lower back can contribute to discomfort and instability. The Lumbar Sacral Support provides circumferential compression to help stabilize this region during daily activity.
Support for Lumbar Disc Protrusion
Actimove also lists lumbar disc protrusion among the intended applications for this support. The brace provides external stabilization around the lower back while maintaining a low-profile design that can be worn during normal daily routines.
Post-Traumatic and Post-Operative Support
The Lumbar Sacral Support may be used following trauma or surgery, including after intervertebral disc procedures, when lumbar support is recommended during recovery. Follow the instructions of your treating healthcare professional regarding when and how long the support should be worn.
Comfortable for Everyday Wear
The support uses highly breathable, soft materials designed to remain comfortable against the skin. Its anatomical, low-profile shape allows it to be worn beneath most clothing, making it practical for everyday use at home, work, or during other routine activities.
How to Put On the Lumbar Sacral Support
The support should be applied while standing. It may be worn over a lightweight shirt if preferred.
- Open the support to its full length and position it around the back and upper buttocks area.
- Center the support across the back with the fastening hooks positioned on the right side and facing toward the body.
- Stretch both sides forward around the waist.
- Wrap the left side around the body first with enough tension to feel comfortably supportive.
- Bring the right side around the body and secure the hook fastening onto the support.
- Adjust the tension so the upper buttocks are held comfortably and evenly on both sides.
Finding the Right Amount of Compression
The wraparound design provides a broad range of adjustment so the support can be tightened to a comfortable level. It should feel secure and supportive without creating excessive pressure, discomfort, numbness, or restricted breathing.
