Using the Bath Seat Basket

The NOVA Bath Seat Basket is designed to keep bathing essentials within easier reach while using a compatible bath or shower chair. It can hold items such as shampoo, soap, and a sponge, helping reduce the need to bend, twist, or reach away from the chair during bathing.

Checking Compatibility

NOVA states that the Bath Seat Basket fits standard-size bath seats with either 7/8-inch or 1-inch tubing. Check the tube diameter and available mounting area on your bath seat before installation.

• The basket is designed for bath seat tubing measuring 7/8 inch or 1 inch in diameter.
• The basket hooks can attach to the front legs or compatible frame tubing above the legs.
• The bath or shower chair itself is not included.

Installing the Bath Seat Basket

The Bath Seat Basket attaches using two hooks and the included screw hardware. A Phillips screwdriver is required for installation.

1. Remove the basket, two basket hooks, screws, washers, and nuts from the package and make sure all parts are present.
2. Clip the two basket hooks onto the two front legs of the bath bench with the long ends and screw holes facing behind the legs.
3. Position the hooks downward and facing each other toward the inside of the legs.
4. Slide both hooks upward until they are level with one another.
5. Place a nut into the hexagonal opening of each basket hook.
6. Insert a long screw through a washer and the hook assembly, then thread it into the nut without fully tightening so the hook can still be adjusted.
7. If attaching the hooks to the smaller frame tubing above the legs, use the included short screws instead of the long screws.
8. Position the basket on the hooks with the sloped end facing forward.
9. Push the basket downward until it snaps securely into the hooks.
10. Once the basket is properly positioned, tighten the screws so the hooks cannot move.

What to Store in the Basket

The basket is intended for lightweight bathing essentials that are helpful to keep within reach while seated.

• Shampoo and conditioner bottles.
• Soap or body wash.
• Sponges or washcloths.
• Other lightweight bathing essentials within the manufacturer’s 5 lb. capacity.

Important Safety Information

• Do not place more than 5 lbs. in the basket.
• Do not rest your feet on the basket.
• Check the basket before each use.
• Make sure the mounting hooks, screws, and clips are securely attached before use.
• Do not use the basket for body support or as a handhold.
• Follow all manufacturer installation instructions before using the basket.

Cleaning and Care

NOVA recommends regular cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner or detergent, followed by rinsing with warm water and drying completely. Avoid abrasive cloths because they may damage the surface.

• Clean regularly with a non-abrasive cleaner or detergent.
• Rinse with warm water after cleaning.
• Dry the basket and hardware completely.
• Regularly inspect the basket, hooks, screws, and other components for corrosion, breakage, compression, or wear.
• Check that all attachments remain securely screwed and clipped into place before use.

Warranty

NOVA provides a one-year limited warranty on the Bath Seat Basket’s non-metal/metal parts and hardware. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use; it does not cover user negligence, misuse, failure to follow product instructions, normal wear and tear, negligent abuse, or unauthorized modifications.
