Using the Bath Stool

The NOVA Bath Stool is designed for people who have difficulty or feel unsafe standing throughout a shower or sitting in a bathtub. Its compact footprint makes it particularly useful in smaller showers and narrow tubs where a full-size bath chair may require too much space.

Adjusting the Seat Height

The Bath Stool uses push-button adjustable legs to change the seat height. NOVA requires all four legs to be set to the same height and every push button to be fully engaged and locked before the stool is used.

1. Place the seat face down on a level surface with the legs facing upward.
2. Depress the brass push button on a leg and slide the leg to the desired height.
3. Continue adjusting the leg until the push button clicks securely into position.
4. Repeat the process for each remaining leg.
5. Make sure all four legs are set to the same height and that every push button is completely engaged and locked before use.

Positioning the Bath Stool

Place the Bath Stool in the shower or bathtub on a level surface. Before sitting down, make sure the stool is stable and that all four legs make secure contact with the floor.

• Use the Bath Stool only in a bathtub or shower that is wide enough to provide stable support for all four legs.
• Make sure the stool is level and stable before sitting down.
• When sitting, carefully lower yourself onto the stool and apply even pressure across the entire seat.
• Check the stool before each use to make sure the legs remain securely adjusted.

Important Safety Information

• Do not exceed the 300 lb. maximum weight capacity.
• All four legs must be adjusted to the same height so the stool sits level.
• Make sure every brass push button is completely locked into its adjustment hole before use.
• Always use the Bath Stool on a level surface.
• Check the stool before each use.
• Do not stand on the Bath Stool.
• Do not use the Bath Stool itself as an assistive device when entering or exiting a bathtub or shower.
• Use the stool only in bathtubs and showers that are wide enough to provide stable support for all four legs.
• NOVA recommends supervision or assistance for individuals with limited mobility while using this product.

Cleaning and Care

NOVA recommends regular cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner or detergent followed by rinsing with warm water. Avoid abrasive cloths because they may damage the surface.

• Regularly inspect the Bath Stool and its components for corrosion, breakage, compression, or wear.
• Regularly check the legs to make sure they remain securely set.
• Make sure all four legs remain at the same height and all push buttons remain fully engaged.
• Discontinue use if the stool or any of its components become damaged or unstable.

Warranty

NOVA provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the metal frame and a one-year limited warranty on non-metal/metal parts, including rubber tips and plastic or metal hardware. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use; it does not cover user negligence, misuse, failure to follow product instructions, normal wear and tear, negligent abuse, or unauthorized modifications.
