Using the Insoles

The PowerStep Pinnacle Memory Foam Insoles are full-length orthotics designed to replace the removable factory insoles in compatible footwear.

1. Remove the existing factory insoles from both shoes.
2. Select the correctly sized PowerStep insoles for your shoe size.
3. Place each PowerStep insole flat inside the corresponding shoe with the fabric side facing upward and the heel seated fully against the back of the shoe.
4. Put on the shoes and confirm that the insoles lie flat without folding, bunching, or shifting.
5. Move the insoles to another appropriately sized pair of shoes as needed, provided those shoes also have removable factory insoles and enough interior space.

Choosing a Size

The Pinnacle Memory Foam Insoles are available in 10 sizes covering men’s U.S. shoe sizes 4 through 15 and women’s U.S. shoe sizes 6 through 12. Choose the size that corresponds with your usual shoe size; these insoles are sized for use without trimming.

Choosing Appropriate Footwear

PowerStep recommends these insoles for footwear in which the original factory insoles can be removed. Compatible styles may include athletic, walking, running, work, and casual dress shoes.

• Remove the factory insole before inserting the PowerStep orthotic.
• Make sure the shoe has enough depth to accommodate the full-length orthotic without crowding the foot.
• Do not force the insole into footwear that is too narrow, shallow, or short for it to lie flat.
• Confirm that your heel remains properly seated in the shoe after the orthotic is installed.

Adjusting to the Support

The Pinnacle Memory Foam combines plush cushioning with a firm but flexible support shell. Allow time to become comfortable with the feel of the contoured arch support, particularly when changing from an unstructured factory insole.

Important Safety Information

• Use the insoles only in properly fitting shoes with removable factory insoles and adequate interior space.
• Do not use an insole that is folded, creased, damaged, or unable to lie flat inside the shoe.
• Check the fit after installation and make sure the insole does not create excessive pressure, crowd the toes, or allow the heel to slip out of the shoe.
• Discontinue use and consult an appropriate healthcare professional if the insoles cause persistent or worsening pain, numbness, skin irritation, or pressure areas.
• People with diabetes, reduced sensation, impaired circulation, open wounds, or other conditions affecting the feet should consult their healthcare professional about appropriate footwear and orthotic use.

Cleaning and Care

• Spot clean the insoles with a mild detergent.
• Do not immerse or soak the insoles in water.
• Allow the insoles to air dry completely before placing them back inside the shoes.
• Do not use a clothes dryer or other direct heat source to speed drying.
• Inspect the top cover, cushioning, support shell, and heel area periodically for excessive wear or damage.

Replacement

PowerStep states that its insoles should last six months or longer, although actual service life depends on wear, frequency of use, and activity level. Replace the insoles when the cushioning becomes compressed, the support structure is damaged, or they no longer provide a secure and comfortable fit.
