Using the Stander Step
The Stander Step is designed to provide minimal to moderate weight support while standing and stepping. Its wide platform and two handles can be particularly useful beside a tall bed, and the free-standing design means the unit does not need to attach directly to the bed.
Positioning the Step Beside a Bed
When using the Stander Step at the bedside, Stander instructs users to position the rear crossbar in contact with the bedside and to avoid leaving a gap between the product and the bed frame or mattress. The product should be positioned at least 12.5 inches from the head and foot plane of the bed as directed in the owner’s manual.
- Place the Stander Step on a stable surface beside the bed.
- Position the rear crossbar in contact with the bedside.
- Do not leave a gap between the product and the bed frame or mattress.
- Keep the product at least 12.5 inches from the head and foot plane of the bed.
- Check the product before use to make sure it has not shifted from its proper position.
Adjusting the Handles
The two handles can be adjusted from 27 to 32 inches high. Insert each handle into its front receiver post, adjust it to the desired height using the witness holes, and securely tighten the adjustment knob before use.
Adjusting the Step Height
The landing platform is height adjustable using spring-button legs. Adjust each leg to the desired setting and make sure every spring pin is completely locked into place before use.
- Adjust all legs to the same height.
- Make sure each spring pin fully engages before stepping onto the platform.
- Check the product for stability after making any height adjustment.
Using the Motion-Activated Light
The included LED light attaches magnetically to the rectangular plate on the rear crossbar. The light is USB rechargeable and activates when its switch is in the ON position, motion is detected, and the surrounding light level is sufficiently dark.
- The motion sensor has a range of 3 meters.
- The light turns off approximately 15 seconds after motion is no longer detected.
- The LED light is rechargeable by USB.
- Keep the light away from water and damp areas.
- Keep the light away from extreme heat.
- Bright-light exposure can affect the sensitivity of the ambient-light sensor.
