Using the Vive Heating Pad
The Vive Heating Pad can be used for either dry or moist heat therapy. Always place the pad inside the included microplush cover before applying it to the body.
- Place the heating pad inside the microplush cover with the cord and controller remaining outside the cover.
- Secure the cover using the two snap closures.
- Place the covered heating pad on top of the area you want to treat.
- Connect the power cord to a compatible 120V electrical outlet.
- Press the controller button to turn the heating pad on.
- Select the warm, low, medium, or high setting based on your comfort.
- Check the treatment area regularly and reduce the setting or stop treatment if the heat becomes uncomfortable.
- Turn the heating pad off when treatment is complete. The pad will automatically shut off after two hours if it is not turned off manually.
Do not place the heating pad underneath your body. Sitting or lying on the pad may trap excessive heat, damage the product, and increase the risk of burns or electrical shock.
Preparing for Moist Heat Therapy
The included moisture sheet allows the heating pad to provide moist heat therapy for tight muscles and aching joints.
- Lightly dampen the moisture sheet with water.
- Do not soak or over-saturate the sheet.
- Place the dampened moisture sheet inside the microplush cover with the heating pad.
- Keep the cord and controller outside the cover.
- Secure the cover using the snap closures before applying the pad to the body.
Do not pour water directly onto the heating pad or allow the controller, cord, or electrical connections to become wet.
Choosing a Heating Pad Size
The Vive Heating Pad is available in two sizes for different treatment areas.
- The Standard pad measures 12″ × 15″ and is suitable for localized areas such as the shoulder, abdomen, hip, knee, arm, or lower back.
- The Large pad measures 12″ × 24″ and provides broader coverage for areas such as the full back, shoulders, thighs, hamstrings, abdomen, and legs.
Adjusting the Heat Level
The controller provides four heat settings: warm, low, medium, and high. Begin with a lower setting and increase the heat gradually based on comfort.
The manufacturer does not publish specific temperature measurements for each heat setting on the product page. Select the setting by comfort rather than assuming a precise temperature, and follow any instructions provided by your healthcare professional.
Two-Hour Automatic Shut-Off
The heating pad automatically turns off after two hours of continuous use. This feature helps prevent unintended extended operation, but it is not a substitute for monitoring the pad during treatment.
The pad may also be turned off at any time by pressing the on/off button on the controller.
