Using the Wonder Pivot Bed Rail

Securing the Safety Strap

The included safety strap attaches around the bed frame and is an essential part of the Wonder Pivot Bed Rail installation. The rail should be securely attached to the bed frame before it is used for transfer support or bedside protection.

• Attach the safety strap around the bed frame according to Stander’s installation instructions.
• Make sure the strap remains secure and properly tensioned.

Checking Mattress Firmness

1. Make a fist and apply approximately 12 lbs. of pressure to the edge of the mattress.
2. Observe how far the mattress compresses under that pressure.
3. If approximately 12 lbs. of pressure compresses the mattress by about 2 inches, Stander instructs users not to use the bed rail without the Bed Rail Safety Guard.

Using the Organizer Pouch

The included two-pocket organizer pouch provides convenient bedside storage for frequently used personal items. Keep stored items positioned so they do not interfere with the rail, its adjustment mechanism, or its ability to pivot downward.
